Audi R8 Not Just a Numbers Game

Audi R8 Not Just a Numbers Game

Data of Audi R8 convinces us theoretically, but it is beyond just a number game. The real usage will surprise you and entrap your hearts....

When it comes to brand impressions, it's hard to imagine a car that makes more of an impression on the public than this one. With the blink of an eye, Audi R8, or ราคา ออ ดี้ r8 in Thailand language has transformed the impression of the German brand Audi from "pretty but boring" to "sporty and sexy". Before that, Audi was a relatively distant "light bulb" in the German premium market, making people feel high up and out of reach. BMW and Mercedes-Benz actually divided the "brand loyal" buyers into two factions. So Audi was in a relatively awkward position, perceived by consumers as good, but not necessarily the best. Then Audi R8 came out of nowhere and changed the whole situation by itself, opening up a new era for Audi.

The advent of Audi R8 was a change for Audi. It was hard to imagine that a brand used to producing four-wheel drive luxury sedans and station wagons could create a car so striking, so sporty and attractive. While overall sales of Audi products have not been great, they have been steady before. Its sales were relatively modest compared to most cars priced above $300,000. about 40,000 units were sold in the global market come 2015. Even in 2008, its best performance year, Audi R8 found only about 5,600 buyers worldwide. But that doesn't fully explain the significance and importance of Audi R8 to the brand.

In the most visual terms, since the launch of the Audi R8 in 2006, Audi's total global sales have grown from approximately 920,000 units to 1.9 million units in 2016. Of course, this coincides with the "Vorsprung Durch Technik" (technological progress), a brand upgrade program developed by Audi. I'll never forget the first time we test drove the Audi R8, back in 2006. A few months after the Audi R8 was launched in Australia, we drove it to enjoy a lazy Sunday lunch on Queensland's Sunshine Coast. All eyes were on it as the car rumbled past. That's already a testament to the Audi R8. Because on Hastings Street in Noosa, most pedestrians are more interested in staring at their own reflection in the window than anything else.

Released in 2015, Audi unveiled the second generation Audi R8, no doubt just a tiny facelift, as has been Audi's habit in recent years. It's more aggressive, sharper-edged and more in tune with modern aesthetics than the slick, funky model that preceded it. The biggest shift for the R8, however, is the introduction of a Lamborghini-derived V10 engine that replaces the original model's V8. In this model, this engine is available in two different classes. It's a rather shocking set of numbers:two doors, two seats, 5.2 liters, 10 cylinders, 397 kW. I wonder if you ever thought they would break the 400 kW barrier? In fact, it can indeed do so. It can reach its speed limit in just 3.7 seconds and consume an average of 12 liters of gasoline per 100 kilometers.

From what we discussed above, I do have good reasons to claim that Audi R8 is the most suitable and affordable for many people. Data of Audi R8 convinces us theoretically, but it is beyond just a number game. The real usage will surprise you and entrap your hearts....
