Mileage Trakker set to pitch at CNE Innovation Garage
Burlington-based startup set to “wow” judges with their new and innovative technology.
Next weekend it's show-time for two women entrepreneurs from Burlington.
That’s right, the spotlight will be on Sandra Spiller and Michelle Alexandra, who recently launched Mileage Trakker – a cutting-edge device that “trakks” all your mileage for business purposes, turning miles into money. Lots of money. The entrepreneurial duo operates their innovative and thriving business at the HalTech – Regional Innovation Centre on the North Service Road.
Spiller and Alexandra have been selected to pitch their product in the Emerging Innovators Pitch Competition at the CNE Innovation Garage. They will pitch in the Women Entrepreneurs category on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at 1:30 PM. If they “wow” the judges in this round, then they are off to the Finals on Sunday, August 25, 2019 at 5:30 PM.
See you in the finals!
After winning the $5,000.00 for their category, their goal of course is to take home the $25,000.00 grand prize.
Mileage Trakker will also be hosting a booth during the three-day event at the Enercare Centre. Make sure to pick you your “I-gave-these-fools-$700-and-they-got-me-$2000” buttons.
The Emerging Innovators Pitch Competition now attracts scores of Canada’s best and brightest minds.
“Lots of business owners locally, nationally, and internationally are using our technology and they love it. They never want to go back to any other way of doing this,” says Spiller. “Our next goal is to expand our reach and secure thousands of new clients who will benefit from our technology, and this year’s competition will allow us to network, make new contacts, and take our business to the next level. We are excited because our system can help everyone – from single person businesses to large multi-national companies – get their maximum monetary benefit from mileage and have accurate data for decision making!”
Alexandra says Mileage Trakker’s novel technology greatly helps business owners on so many levels.
“Our device is about the size of a battery and all you need to do is just plug it into your OBDii port and it automatically tracks every trip your vehicle makes,” says Alexandra. “All users have to do is tag their trips ‘business’ or ‘personal,’ (after the vehicle is off) and they never have to worry about paperwork ever again.”
She adds, “We are thrilled to take our place amongst so many wonderful business leaders in our community and be able to share a solution that makes us all more successful.”
Mileage Trakker is helping keep our roads safer as users in Canada and the USA don’t have to worry about being distracted while on the road – this new tech does all the work! Additionally, Mileage Trakker helps ensure users get their hard earned money back at tax-time, and the tech provides CRA, IRS, and employer compliant reports.
