March 14th 2020 - Read This If You Love Local Burlington Business
As the next few weeks unfold, the Coronavirus and the slow down in the economy is going to affect a ton of LOCAL BUSINESS OWNERS.
This Is Burlington
We are all fortunate enough to live in an incredible city. Burlington is home to restaurants, a beautiful downtown, great community sports and parks, a waterfront like no other, and most of all, home to a diverse group of incredible hardworking and family oriented people from all over the world.
The next few months are going to be tough
Like it or not, there are going to be difficult times ahead. In tough times, the human spirit can brighten us and allow us to focus on what really matters.
As you can imagine, as we cocoon to a level we have never dreamed of, businesses will be devastated.
Local business is a big part of what makes this community so vibrant. In our little community, business owners are always supporting local causes, donating things and supporting local charities and they do so because they love the community.
During these times, people will stop going to so many places. This could and will likely have a damaging effect on many community businesses.
We know it's going to be hard on everyone.
We know of stories where business owners already are are suffering. While the community is out stocking up on supplies and toilet paper, they are definitively slowing down their purchases at LOCAL BUSINESS.
Remember, local businesses are the seed to a strong growing economy and the people they employ are often from this community.
What can you do?
As you go about your days over the next few weeks, try to find ways to support your community business owner. You can buy gift certificates or shop online or get take out...
Take care of each other and be safe all.
