Cloth Pads

We chose the name Saukhyam for our reusable pads because we believe menstruation has been undervalued and ignored for too long.

Welcome! You have just discovered the wonderful world of Cloth Pads. I hope that after reading this, you will be able to decide if they are for you. Cloth menstrual pads are a great alternative to disposable ones. They are washable, adjustable, comfortable and healthy to wear, not bad qualities in any product really! So how do they work? Perhaps one of the best things about these kind of pads is how simple they are. Instead of being stuck with pad which you can't remove while it's still completely dry (disposables), cloths usually come apart into two or three pieces; an absorbent core (made up of layers of fabric) which attaches to the wings by snaps or hook & loop fasteners, and a small piece which covers that, this is the waterproof layer. They are made of cotton or hemp (or combination of them) and come in many shapes like "hourglass" or wings.

As a menstruating woman, it is essential to have products that are intended for women during their periods. This article will explain the benefits of Reusable Pads so why invest in one? A disposable pad is like a plastic bag that sticks to your skin and it can feel quite uncomfortable as you move around during the day. This is because the non-breathable material does not allow air circulation down there, which can sometimes contribute to vaginal infections too. With Reusable Pads, they are made of soft cotton and allows for better airflow and more comfort. This way, you can go about your daily routine without worrying about accidental leakage or discomfort throughout the day. However, do note that while washable pads are more environmentally friendly than non-reusable pads, they may not offer you same level of protection in terms of absorbing fluid.
