Kegel your way to a leak free life!
Are you confused about Kegels? Should you do them or not? How do you do them correctly? Kim Vopni, the Vagina Coach, can help you figure that out.
Should you be doing Kegels?
Kegels are great but there are three key things that need to be considered in order to make kegels work effectively. Most women are doing them incorrectly which can mean challenges like incontinence, prolapse and chronic back pain won't improve.
For a leak free life, kegels need to be done correctly. The best way to learn how to do them correctly is to get assessed by a Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist who is licensed to assess the pelvic floor muscles.
Kegels also need to be done consistently.
Recently a participant in my 28-day challenge had great results and was leak free by the second week. She completed the challenge and thought she was cured so she stopped her daily practice. About a month later she noticed the first signs of leaking again and now recognizes that kegels are not a quick fix. Pelvic floor exercise is a lifestyle... emphasis on LIFE.
Kegels need to be coordinated into movement.
Kegels are often thought of and usually performed as a static exercise. But we are dynamic beings and often our pelvic floor challenges are apparent throughout the day as we move. So we need to train the pelvic floor with movement. Coordination is key! Applying the core breath to exercise is a great way to train the pelvic floor dynamically. Kegels are actually a core exercise.
My next 28-day Kegel Challenge opens for registration May 13 and the challenge begins May 21st.
28-Day Kegel Challenge
The challenge is designed to teach you how to do kegels, get you doing them consistently and doing them with movement. You will see a reduction in leaks (and eventually eliminate them with continued commitment), less back pain, a flatter midsection and those feelings of things ‘just not being right down there’ will ease. Light bladder leakage is NOT just part of being a woman.
The 28 Day Kegel Mojo Challenge will take you from daily pads to leak free living!
You deserve body confidence and it all starts with the pelvic floor!
