April is here...with sun and lots of wind!
You can never really predict how April is really going to go...looks like spring one day, and windy and ...what more snow flurries.
Keeping positive, we are almost there. After a wonderful (cooler weather) Easter, as it was early this year. We have just had a great family get together with my husbands family for Easter, that I am in total gratitude for. Families have there own flavor, each one, and no two are the same. I find my husbands family gatherings, are quite exciting as there is much debate and chatter about local politics, the weather, and bets on Golf to football, they love to brag about who won last years bets.
Looking outside today, the energy of Easter has passes, all the chocolate has been eaten, and we get back to routine after a great long weekend, a bit sunnier then was predicted!
Outdoors, the neighborhood is showing signs of life as the crocus, hyacinth, and tulips head toward the sun's warmth and begin poking their heads through the ground to usher us in to spring filled with renewed excitement, hopes and dreams.
As we continue our planetary journey toward summer by passing through the Spring Equinox the present is a great time to purge yourself on the different levels that we live. Is there clutter at the side of your house or heaped in a corner of a closet or the basement, deal with it. It's the perfect time. Are you filled with negative thoughts.
Are you angry or jealous or disappointed with your family, with your partner or even with yourself? Spring is the time to purge those levels as well, but maybe start with the clutter in your home. Make your project for April to be to get rid of stuff.
What is in your closet, your cupboards, your basement? Do we really need all that of it? I can virtually guarantee that if you even purge a little bit you will feel so much better about about life, about yourself and about others.
I saw the following list as I was browsing for quotes and I think it's worth sharing to everyone who reads my newsletter.
The Paradoxical Commandments
People are illogical, unreasonable, and self-centered.
Love them anyway.
If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish ulterior motives.
Do good anyway.
If you are successful, you will win false friends and true enemies.
The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow.
Do good anyway.
Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable.
Be honest and frank anyway.
The biggest men and women with the biggest ideas can be shot down by the smallest men and women with the smallest minds.
Think big anyway.
People favor underdogs but follow only top dogs.
Fight for a few underdogs anyway.
What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight.
People really need help but may attack you if you do help them.
Help people anyway.
Give the world the best you have and you'll get kicked in the teeth.
Give the world the best you have anyway.”
