What is Perinatal Mental Health?
Pregnancy, childbirth, and parenting bring dramatic changes to your life and your emotional health.
Perinatal Mental Health (PMH) is an important part of health and wellbeing. The perinatal period is the time from pregnancy to childbirth, to the first year postpartum. While it can be an exciting and joyful time, the changes that accompany the perinatal period can also leave you feeling sad, guilty, overwhelmed, irritable, or unable to relax and enjoy your developing relationship with your baby and family. The loss of yourself, of your relationships, of your body and your brain functions may have you feeling like you need help and that is where Mind Online comes in.
Mind Online was born out of a need to nurture the mental and emotional well being of parents like you. Certified in Maternal Mental Health and over 10 years experience, I have been able to help birth and non birth parents during life transitions, from postpartum depression, mood and anxiety disorders, birth trauma and everything in between.
I want to reduce the barriers for exhausted parents by making sessions accessible and convenient. You have a lot going on, let me show you where you shine and be that safe place to land. I offer In Person sessions at two locations and Online services for Ontario residents.
My ongoing journey is to provide a safe space for all parents including queer, trans, non-binary, single parents by choice, polygamous families and binary cisgender parents. Learning inclusivity is a never-ending mission for me and so I look to my clients to teach me about their lives and what fits for them.
Before you book a session with me, we need to do a FREE assessment to make sure the fit is right.
Send me a message below and I will get back to you with a time and date to conduct the free telephone assessment. Thanks, Ashley Mariani
