Ashley Mariani M.S.W, R.S.W, Mind Online Founder and Registered Clinical Social Worker
Short answer is YES I work with couples.
Each partner is a part of a system and in order for the system to run smoothly the parts must be collaborating together. Within a partnership there are many layers, mental health is just a piece of the puzzle. There is no perfect relationship and there is no professional that can teach you how to have one.
You're not crazy, you're not failing, this is HARD!
From the marathon of parenthood to navigating the dating world, these rights of passages were not meant to be hustled alone, trust me!
My role gives me the opportunity to witness the lives of so many different people, each one leaving me with a valuable experience. I believe in meeting clients where they are at, and creating a warm, collaborative, non-judgemental space in which to explore the personal and relational challenges that they are living. I honour every individual story, and value the richness of people’s diverse identities and experiences.

Mind Online Treatment Approaches
Attachment Theory - Humans have a deep-rooted, biological desire for meaningful relationships. When these attachments are secure, it is likely to have a positive effect on a child's development; good emotion regulation skills, feelings of confidence and self-worth. These attachments play out in adult relationships as well.
Feminist Theory - Feminist therapy is a person-centered, politically informed model that positions treatment within a cultural context. Its goals are to empower the person in treatment, enabling that person to potentially address aspects of social transformation, nurture the self and establish a strong self-concept, and restructure and enhance personal beliefs about identity.
Strength Based - Focusing on internal strengths and resourcefulness, and less on weaknesses, failures, and shortcomings. This focus sets up a positive mindset that helps you build on you best qualities, find your strengths, improve resilience and change worldview to one that is more positive.
Evidence Based - (EBT) refers to treatment that is backed by scientific evidence. The goal of EBT is to encourage the use of safe and effective treatments likely to achieve results and lessen the use of unproven, potentially unsafe treatments.
