Cranial Sacral Therapy (CST)

Cranial Sacral Therapy is a gentle hands on manual therapy that releases tension as well as restrictions deep in the body to relieve pain and dysfunction.

Cranial Sacral Therapy is a gentle hands on manual therapy that releases tension as well as restrictions deep in the body to relieve pain and dysfunction. It complements the body’s own natural healing process and improves overall health.

CST was pioneered and developed by Dr. John E Upledger, an Osteopathic Physician, following extensive scientific research at Michigan State University.

Cranial Sacral Therapy works by having impact on the Central Nervous System, the membranes and fluid that surround, protect and nourish the brain and spinal cord. Gentle manual techniques are used to release restrictions in any tissues influencing the craniosacral system.

By normalizing the environment around the brain and spinal cord, enhancing the body’s ability to self-correct, CST is able to alleviate a wide variety of dysfunctions such as :

  • Post-Traumatic Stress
  • Post-Concussion symptoms
  • Traumatic Brain injury
  • Neck and Back pain
  • Headache and Migraines
  • TMJ syndrome
  • Chronic Fatigue
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Infant and child disorders
