What Dr. Wootton has to say about The Calm App:

“I love using and recommending this app for people of all ages. It has a large database of meditations and mindfulness exercises to reduce anxiety, improve sleep, and promote relaxation. You can also choose the length of your mindfulness session so you can squeeze it into any break you may have in the day!”

#2 - The Environmental Working Group

The Environmental Working Group is on a mission to empower people to live healthier lives in a healthier environment. They are a non-profit, non-partisan organization dedicated to protecting human health and the environment.

What Dr. Wootton has to say about The Environmental Working Group:

“This is a great non-profit organization whose mission is to protect human health and the environment. In their "Consumer Guides" section, you can find helpful resources such as the "Clean 15 and Dirty 12" Guide to Pesticides in produce, a "Guide to Sunscreens" and one of my favourites, their "Skin Deep Guide to Cosmetics" which rates thousands of personal and home care products on how healthy they are for you and your family. They also have an app called Healthy Living where you can scan products or food barcodes and get information on them right to your phone.”

#3 - Practical Paleo Cookbook by Diane Sanfilippo

This book teaches you why avoiding both processed foods and certain foods marketed as “healthy” like grains, legumes, and dairy, will improve how you look and feel!

What Dr. Wootton has to say about Practical Paleo Cookbook:

“This is more than just your standard recipe cookbook. It has some great information about different health concerns as well as 30-day meal plans, shopping lists, and resources depending on which type of eating you are following (ex: gluten free, dairy free, paleo, low FODMAPS, etc).”

#4 - Supercook.com

Supercook.com allows you to simply add in your ingredients (whether you’re following a meal plan or only have certain things on hand!) and Supercook instantly finds matching recipes from the most popular cooking websites.

What Dr. Wootton has to say about Supercook.com:

“This is the perfect resource for anyone who isn't great at meal planning throughout the week. If you're not sure what to make with the food you have at home, simply type in what's in your fridge or cupboard, or click through the categories, and you will be given a list of recipes to choose from.”

#5 - Nike Training Club App

The Nike Training Club App helps you create customized training plans to suit your lifestyle and goals. They take it one step further by educating you on what each component is for and how it is contributing to your success.

What Dr. Wootton has to say about the Nike Training Club App:

“Let's face it, we can't all get a personal trainer or attend workout classes all the time. This app is perfect for anyone looking for some guidance with increasing their activity level. There are 100's of workouts of varying intensities and lengths as well as videos to show you how to properly do each exercise. It also tracks your progress and updates its recommended workouts based on your history and goals. If you're not comfortable with doing the activity or have a history of injuries, it may still be a good idea to have a few in-person sessions to make sure you're workout will be safe.”

Dr. Wootton provides an incredible variety of natural health services: diet and lifestyle counselling, vitamin and mineral support, botanical medicine, acupuncture (including Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture), and fertility and pregnancy support. She also provides specialized testing, such as hormone testing and food sensitivity testing, that can help determine exactly what is going on with her patients.
