3 Questions You Should Ask Yourself Each Week as a LOCAL Business owner.

1. What do I love doing?
Let's face it, you started your business for one or two reasons. You didn't like the commute. You wanted to make a difference. You want to be passionate about what you do.
So, spend some time every day, and think about your time, energy and the best way to focus your time. This is not a FINANCIAL article. This is about taking a good look at yourself and do you really LOVE your business?

Start with listing the 5 things you do really well in your business. This will be a good start so you know where to focus your days.
2. What can I outsource?
Most of us CAN do so much. We can do books, we can do marketing, we can change light bulbs. Again, financials aside, your greatest value is creating value. So here is the next step. List 5 things that you can afford to outsource, so that you can focus on what you are best at.
3. Am I allocating my time well?
This exercise will likely make you laugh at yourself. We know business owners that are still going to pick up cheques. In the world of eCommerce and computers, we have to use our time wisely. List 5 times that you were stressed and didn't feel like completing a task.
By spending a little time thinking about these moments, you can get further insight into how you should NOT focus your time.
Sometimes questions like these, just allow you to take a breather and look inward. It's VERY hard to fix anything over night. But the sooner you can eliminate SPREADING yourself think and learn to rely on others, the sooner you will have a REAL business.
