Making Wonton Mee
Wonton Mee is a simple but amazing dish. Filled with excellent and complimentary flavours, this easy-to-make dish tastes good and is good for you.
Prep Time: 15 minutes
- 2 Cups of Thin Wonton Noodles (Asian Noodle Guide)
- Two Cups Baby Bock Choy
- 4 Portobello Mushrooms
- Soy Sauce
- Sesame Oil
- Spring Onions
Mix equal parts or to taste Sesame oil and Soy Sauce in a bowl
Step 1 - Mix half Sesame Oil and Half Soy Sauce in a bowl. The quantity is based on how much you are making.
You need about a tablespoon of each for each 2 cups of noodles. You can always ADD more if you need to after all ingredients are mixed.
Step 2 - Boil some water in a large Wok.
Step 3 - Cut the Portobello Mushrooms and the Baby Bock Choy
Step 4 - Chop Chicken in cube chunks. If you buy an off the shelf pre-roasted chicken it is ready to go.
Step 5 - Once the water boils, add the Bock Choy, Wonton Noodles and Mushrooms to the pot and cook for 7 minutes.
Step 6 - Drain ALL ingredients from boil and combine chicken, bock choy, mushrooms into the prepared bowl of Sesame and Soy. This is where you can add more Sesame oil and Soy sauce to taste.
Step 7 - Add Spring Onions For a garnish.
If you like a bit of spice, why not add some Siriacha Sauce. It gives this dish a bit of a kick and a little heat actually helps speed up your metabolism for digestion.
