The last few years have been highlighted by a 2015 Mural made in tribute to the athletes of the Games. The vivid mural is a composite of wooden canvases 80 individual wooden canvases of varied art forms which come together to depict a cyclist surrounded by the rich environment of Milton’s biosphere. The mural is proudly displayed in the Mattamy National Cycling Centre and truly inspirational to athletes who frequent the velodrome.
The latest accomplishment is a massive mural “Milton’s Nature Warms the Soul” which was created for the Milton Community and hangs in the foyer of the newly expanded Milton District Hospital. The mural is an interpretation of the four seasons of Escarpment Country and will be an inviting and familiar scene to the patients, staff and visitors to the hospital.
A fundraising campaign is now underway to defray the costs of the mural. See info at gofundme.com/fasm-mural.
