Entrepreneurial Mindset for Women

Entrepreneurial Mindset for Women

Yes, an entrepreneurial mindset exists in everyone, it's just how and when you decide to become an entrepreneur. There is no one recipe that fits all!

The entrepreneurial mindset sometimes means you have to overcome those doubts, insecurities and barriers that have taken hold.  If you develop an action plan, all that negativity can be pushed to one side and you will be ready to launch your business, one step at a time.

Start Your Business as a Side Hustle

How many hours a week can you free up to start your business as a side hustle?  It is surprising if you are focused how many hours you can find to start your business as a side hustle.   Many businesses can start this way.  Here are some suggestions

  • Amazon Seller
  • Network Marketing Companies
  • Baking and Cake Decorating
  • Interior Design
  • Copywriting
  • Photography
  • IT Services

Finding a Specialty

With this ever changing world there are so many different areas to explore that didn't even exist a 5 years ago.  For example if you have become an avid podcaster, perhaps you could develop a podcasting course, podcasting coaching, podcasting production, and even extending that to being a paid host of a podcasting show on the new networking platform "Clubhouse".

Find a Mentor

Successful entrepreneurs are often more than willing to mentor other entrepreneurs.  So where do you find a mentor?   We suggest you develop business relationships with a variety of people on the LinkedIn platform.

When you are first seeking a mentor, find someone that has been where you want to go and and look at their skills and experience.  If you think they are a good fit for you, then reach out through LinkedIn to ask if they have just 30 minutes to spare to answer a few questions.   Be prepared to ask well thought out questions and listen and implement the suggestions.

From this initial small start, you may find that the person you have contacted would be more than willing to extend the mentor/mentee relationship.

Develop a Tough Skin

Yes, rejection is part of entrepreneurship.  On the road to finding your target market, you will face a lot of "no"s in the first six months.   Get feedback on why people are saying "no" and then learn from that experience to either go after a different target market or be prepared to adjust your product range.  It's as simple as that!

Don't take the "no"s personally or you will totally freeze and your product idea will never find the success you are looking for.
