Dundas Museum and Archives exhibition explores 20th Century Fashion in Dundas

The latest exhibition at the Dundas Museum and Archives, Hemlines: The Fashion (R)Evolution explores local fashions from 1900 to 1960. This exhibition will be on display in the Museum’s Feature Gallery and will welcome visitors from September 24 until February 20, 2017.

Featured in the exhibit are more than 40 outfits – for both women and men – as well as numerous accessories that include purses, shoes, hats and jewelry all representing the various trends that occurred from 1900 to 1960. Many of the fashions displayed have either been purchased or made locally, but there are a few couture pieces from designers like Chanel, Norman Hartnell, Dior and Hermes.

We thank the City of Hamilton Community Enrichment Fund for their support of this exhibition.

And we welcome everyone to visit. You are sure to see something intriguing!
