ADHD and Neurofeedback

Problems concentrating? Miss parts of conversations? Easily overwhelmed? Constantly late for appointments? Temper trouble? Brain training can help.

ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) is a condition that is now better recognized in children, but is often still missed in adults. Adults can experience residual symptoms of ADHD from childhood that continue to interfere with their daily lives (personal relationships and work efficiency).

Whether ADHD is interfering with a child's or adult's functioning, neurofeedback is a natural approach to addresssing these issues. Neurofeedback allows the brain the opportunity to reorganize its electrical activity in a gentle and even "spa-like" way. Yes, spa-like. A person is connected to an electroencephalography system and listens to music (or children watch movies) for 33 min while the brain receives information about what it is doing in real time. It is able to train and learn how to balance its activity on its own. People enjoy coming to train their brains ("brain spa") weekly for 20-40 session.

When focus and concentration is improved amazing things can happen. Children's academics improve, they feel calmer, they are better able to self regulate big emotions, and they gain self confidence. Adults communicate more effectively, are more present and engaged with others, work more efficiently, finish more tasks, and feel better about themselves. Neurofeedback can change a person's path for the better.
