Experienced a bit of sticker shock when reaching for a fresh cold-pressed juice? We look at why cold-pressed juices are a bit more expensive - and so worth it!

There’s a very good reason cold-pressed, organic natural juices tend to be more expensive than their processed counterparts - the ingredients that go into them, and the process of making them, are far superior.

Organic fruits and vegetables, those that are free of pesticides and any additives, are more expensive but contain far more nutritional value.

A cold-pressed juice is also juiced via, you guessed it: cold-press juicing - the application of 1,500 lbs of pressure. This process maintains 99% of the vitamins and minerals of the fruit and vegetables. One of our cold-press juicers costs over $40,000.00 USD!

We also have specialized citrus and auger cold-press juicers that are used to better extract the juice from different kinds of fruits and vegetables - all with their own hefty price tag.

At Bodhi Bar, we don’t put the freshly pressed juices in cheap plastic cups or bottles containing BPA’s (what’s the point of fresh juice if you drink down some BPA’s with it?!), and always use reusable/recyclable bottles.

If you aren’t drinking the juice the same day it's made, the juice can also be cryogenically preserved after bottling - meaning no preservatives added. We use a state-of-the-art cryo chamber to flash freeze, preserving phytonutrients and live beneficial enzymes (probiotics)!!

With all the costs associated with making a fresh, cold-pressed juice, it’s almost impossible to make the same quality at home versus what you can get at a specialty juicing store. At Bodhi Bar, we do our best to give you the absolute best and most fresh juice at the lowest price possible!

Juicing is not for everyone. Check with your healthcare provider first, especially people who are pregnant, underweight, diabetic, have unstable heart disease or low blood pressure, or who have life-threatening health challenges.
