How is the Oakville real estate market doing?
Housing market watch for August 2019 in Oakville.
This is the million dollar question that I get asked almost on a daily basis. In August, there were 144 residential homes sold and compared to 174 in 2018 that is a decrease of 16.7%.
There were 89 Detached Homes sold, 19 Semi-Detached/Townhouses/Link Homes sold, 35 Condo Apartment/Townhouses were sold and 1 other.
The Average Sale Price was $1,157,335 and the Median Sale Price was $935,000. The Year to Date (YTD) Average Sale Price is up 2.3% over 2018 and the Median Sale Price is up YTD 3.2%.
The drivers of market sales in Oakville were Detached Homes in the $1,000,000 to $1,500,000 range, Townhouses between $700,000 to $800,000 and Condominiums between the $500,000 to $600,000 range.
The average Days on Market was 34 days. According to Re/max Aboutowne Realty Corp., Brokerage stats there is 88 days of inventory.
