BE THE BOSS Review Series for Off the Sauce be the BOSS

See my reviews on the hottest apps for alcohol free living or drinking with moderation in mind.

I downloaded and got the free versions when able. Many of the apps gave me a 7 day free trial.

My review will give you the basic features available, but also a "not for me" review. These are things that did work for me personally, or I found annoying. I did rate them (1-3)  based on how I felt it met my needs and price.  1- Not really for me don't waste your time, 2- good content, but hard to work with or pricey, 3- Great app I liked the content, it was easy to use, free or low cost, just what I needed.

We all have different needs, so I invite you to check them out for yourself.

  • Has daily inspirations
  • Able to turn off notifications
  • Can join groups inside the app

Not for me:

  • Kicked me out of the app a few times when I was looking around the app
  • Recovery coaching available for 2 week free trial and then $99 per month
  • No drink tracking, seems more like just a support group app. Which is not what I am looking for, but you might like the extra support.

I really like this positive twist on the app

Ins and outs of the App:

  • Lesson plans to go with Annie Graces book

Less (3/3)

Ins and outs of the App:

  • Free appI like the simple tracker of calories, cost and days without alcohol. Also lets you add in drinking to track your drinking habits. Handy if you are working with Moderation.

Alcohol Diary (2/3)

Ins and outs of the App:

  • Free app
  • Very simple app, tracks your drinking habits - which is good for those seeking a moderation habit

Not for me:

  • This would not be a good app for someone who is totally alcohol free
  • This app is also very simple, just a tracking tool

Drank (1/3)

Ins and outs of the App:

  • Free App
  • Again very simple for tracking drinking habits only
  • You can add in any “drinking” including water, coffee or alcohol

Not for me:

  • Too simple for me, and it’s in milliliters

  • Available articles and updates on moderation, sobriety, tips, and blog
  • Available custom profile
  • Private community with strict rules, but it’s on Facebook

Ins and outs:
