Things to remember before Linksys Extender Setup:-

Before you install the Linksys Wifi Extender, there are a few things you should keep in mind. You won't be able to set up the extension if you lose any of these items.

• Determine the Router's wireless network name (SSID).

• Locate the Wireless channel (Channel should be the same for extender).

• Write down the router's wifi password.

Setup instructions for Linksys WiFi Extender:-

• Return the extender to its normal factory settings. The LED light on the Linksys extender starts blinking after you press and hold the Reset button on the top panel for 3-4 seconds.

• Now, connect an Ethernet wire between your computer and the Extender. • Restart your Linksys Wifi Extender with double that all of the lights are stable.

• Open the Google Chrome browser on your computer and type “192.168.1.1” in the address box to get the router's IP address.

• A window will pop up on your computer screen, requesting you to enter your login and password to log in. The password should be "admin" and the username should be left blank.

• The computer browser will open the Linksys extender page.

• Select Wireless > Basic Wireless Settings from the take menu.

• Set the Wireless button to Manual and then enter the wireless network name of the router (SSID).

• Enter the router's wifi password in the Wireless Security section and Save Settings.

• At last, unplug the power cables of the router and Linksys Wifi Extender and wait for 30 sec. Your Linksys Extender Setup will automatically sync with your router after you restart both devices.

Open your router's DHCP table and look for the extender IP address to ensure your Linksys Wifi Extender Setup was successful.
