The technology used to create information is known as information technology. Information technology is an integrated system that collects, processes, and transmits or presents data electronically in a variety of formats that are useful to the user.

Today's information technology is advancing at a breakneck pace. Information technology is becoming more complex, and it may be utilized to assist a wide range of tasks, both organizationally, individually, and socially. At this time, the advancement of information technology has become a very important requirement in people's lives, as well as a location where users may rely on to solve a variety of problems. Structure, authority, power, obligations at work, employee career routes, supervision, and management work are all affected by the use of information technology, not only in individual community activities but also in companies.

Particularly in organizational settings, the influence is considerable. Electronic mail (email), video conferencing, phone messaging, fax, and computer bulletin boards are examples of information technology that can revolutionize the way people work, especially in organizations. For example, in an organizational context, the usage of electronic mail (e-mail) or similar technology can avoid repeated messages to the person we're targeting or reduce the time it takes for messages to arrive at the recipient's office. Information technology has radically changed enterprises, as evidenced by the modest example above. In other words, it is feasible for an organization to experience a metamorphosis as a result of the advancement of information technology.

Organizational life has become increasingly globalized, and information technology has emerged as a result. In the study of organizations, information technology plays a significant role. The organization is an open system, and organizational technology reflects the organization's environmental conditions as well as the types of internal activities that take place within it. Today, technology is inextricably linked to business operations. Because information technology has been the most important determinant of organizational success since its inception (Gordon & Gordon, 2000).
