How To Go From An Invisible Professional To Sought-After Authority

Are you ready to take your business to the next level and increase your income, impact and Influence?

Henry stared across the room as he watched George surrounded by a group of people all wanting to hear what he had to say. He couldn’t understand it. He was as good of a professional as George is, probably even better. “Why does everyone want to work with him and not me?”

Have you ever experienced that? You are at a networking event, and you feel invisible while someone else who does the same thing as you get all the attention. What is it about this person that everyone wants to work with them while you might as well be invisible?

They are seen as the authority, and you are not.

Believe it or not, you can go from being unseen to authority by following these three steps:

1. Your Mindset

You must believe on the inside that you are worthy of being followed and that you have something of benefit that people are willing to pay you well for.

Then you balance out that belief with knowing that what you offer is not for everyone. You are not the be-all and end-all. You have a skill, ability, knowledge or talent that will make the difference in the lives of a specific group of people.

You also recognize that you can’t do it on your own. You need mentors and coaches who will help you take your life and business to the next level.

2. Your Actions

It is time for you to start to shine. You will never be seen as the authority until you get out there and build a network of people above and below you. The people above you train you and teach you how it is done. They become the people who refer you to their network. The people below you become your customers and clients.

When you talk to people, you need to be confident with an attitude that says, “I would love to work with you, but I don’t need to work with you. I am successful with or without you.”

Provide a tremendous amount of value and then give them an opportunity to take the next step with a phone call.

3. Become An Author

This is the simplest way to be seen as an authority. Think of the word authority; what does it contain? The word AUTHOR. Almost every well-known professional has a signature book as part of their arsenal. Why? Because it works. If you can write a book, then you must be an expert.

When you are becoming known, your book is a great tool for one-on-one lead generation.

Who do you think they are going to hire to help them out? The business coach that hands them the business card or the one who proves that they are the authority by writing a book?

If a prospective customer or client reads your book and you show that you know how to solve their problem, who do you think they are going to use? The person who handed them a card or the authority who understands them.
