First, let me explain what the Gospel of Jesus Christ entails. It's simple, but it appeals to a wide range of people. Later, I'll explain why it's so upsetting so many people.

It goes like this in the Gospel. All men are born with a sinful nature. We indulge in sin regularly and like it. All who take delight in evil, according to the Bible, are under God's anger. It also states that God's wrath is on the wicked. Of course, this means that everyone who has not yet been called to holiness by God is still under His anger. The unfortunate news is that this is the case.

The Gospel, on the other hand, goes something like this. We realize we are now doomed under God's wrath and justice due to our sin. God says to us, "If you repent of all your sins and turn to my son Jesus Christ, who was born of a virgin, lived a perfect, holy, and sin-free life, who died on the CROSS, bled his blood, and rose again for the remission of sins," we shall be saved.

If you would turn away from sin and go to Him for salvation, He will save you and change your heart, and not only will you become my child, but I will also place a new spirit within you and change your heart so that you loathe sin and no longer take joy in it.

This is NOT the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In reality, modern America and the world's preachers are false prophets. It is said that if you believe in Jesus, you will be saved. Turn your attention to Him. Most are either overly concerned with acts of the law regulating people's lives or, conversely, believe that you may live in sin and do whatever you want and yet go to heaven if you believe in Jesus.

Both of these viewpoints are radical heresies that must be avoided at all costs. If you are concerned about your soul, you must seek the truth, which can only be found in Jesus Christ. Make sure of your election and calling, and put your faith in Christ alone. You have been saved and need to grow in your knowledge of Christ if God has invited you to be holy and offered His Son as a sacrifice. If He hasn't asked you to be holy and presented His son in holiness, you must wonder if you truly know God and beg Him to reveal Himself to you.
