Where to Learn More About New Milford & Its History

We think there is a lot of cool stuff to New Milford. Some is history, some is in its spirit, its sense of place and sense of community - the stiff that makes it unique, special - differntiating it from, say, Bergenfield, Oradell, River Edge....

This Journeys into New Milford is dedicated to telling some those stories. But ther is more.

For anyone looking for a long view there is also the classic  "Story of New Milford", by Leon Smith (1964); Guide-Kalkhoff-Burr Press.The 112 page book tells the story of this place from the 1600's to the 1960's.
