A Look at Route 17 in another time

There is a great website full of wonderful old pictures of Paramus - before the likes of Best Buy, Shake Shack and Trader Joe's.

There were few national chains, few malls. And, the roads were more narrow, less congested and less menacing.

Here is one such picture - it is of Route 17, circa 1950's (?). My guess that it is looking south, but I don't know for sure.

For you old timer's or archiologists of Paramus Life, what do you think ?
