Where to Find Palm Coast's History

We enjoy reading of and sharing with you the works of Art Dycke, local historian.

He is also author of THE book on Palm Coast.

We recently came across a 2005 article in the St. Augustine Record that outlined some other places one could access local history.

Of course, the article by Josh Sweigart mentioned Dycke and the Palm Coast Historical Society.

But he mentioned other sources as well.

"...In addition to the Flagler Beach Historical Museum and the Flagler County Historical Society in Bunnell, a good place to start is Palm Coast's Flagler County Library", he wrote.

There, the article, wrote, can be found  two stocked shelves of historical info which date back to the original surveys and land use plans drafted by ITT.

On its shelves can also be found John Clegg's "The History of Flagler County," or newspapers on microfilm dating back to 1918. There are also oral histories.
