1. Eat less but eat more frequently - Rather than having a big breakfast or a big lunch, focus on eating a number of small meals throughout the day. If you feel too hungry, it may lead you to experience vomiting during pregnancy. Do not binge on anything either. Focus on eating healthy. You should avoid any kind of heavy foods that may cause bloating during pregnancy.

2. Dietary Supplements and Over The Counter Medications - A lot of women have been observed to experience nausea from nutrition supplements such as ginger and Vitamin B6. Many of the over-the-counter medicines like sleeping aids also help with nausea and vomiting.

3. Stay Away From heartburn – Gastroesophageal reflux disease, also known as GERD, or simply referred to as heartburn is a major cause for nausea and vomiting during pregnancy. Due to pregnancy, a lot of women face heartburn even though they may have never had issues before. You should simply avoid spicy and heavy foods. Also, avoid using antacids without proper consent from your healthcare provider.

4. Drink Lots Of Water – You should have your daily intake of water, i.e. six to ounces without fail. Do not focus on having electrolyte supplements like Gatorade. Even if you do, opt for low sugar options if you can, especially if you are diabetic. Water helps reduce dehydration and also helps in better digestion of the food.

5. Talk To Your obstetric Provider – If you seem to have severe symptoms of dehydration, talk to your obstetrician immediately. Symptoms such as dizziness or a racing heart rate are not good signs and don’t try to treat them at home.

6. Completely Avoid Junk Foods. Foods from your favorite fast-food joint are a big no. These foods are usually very high in calories and have a lot of unhealthy and used oils. All of these are perfect contributors to feeling bloated. Bloating is one of the major reasons for nausea and vomiting during pregnancy.
