Why You Should Start Your Own Podcast

Why You Should Start Your Own Podcast

Podcasting has been around forever, but in the last couple of years it has become extremely popular, find out why.

audio can be consumed anywhere!

Video has been king for a long time, but we aren't always in a position to watch video.  There are times when audio is much easier.  At the gym, at a boring event, jogging, waiting at the doctor's office in a crowded waiting room are just some examples.  So why not produce your own podcast?

not sure what to talk about?

If you are an entrepreneur, that should be easy.  You are a subject matter expert on a product or service and you have an audience who wants to learn more about what it is you do.  The topic of your podcast series can be just one small element of what you do but of it might have a wide audience listening potential.

podcasting can be montetized

Once you have produced a few podcasts, you can charge an administration fee to your podcast guests, because you will be distributing the podcast to many different channels such as:

  • Apple Podcasts
  • Google Podcasts
  • Spotify
  • Pocket Casts
  • Overcast

This publicity is so valuable to your podcast guests, they will be lining up to be on your show.

it isn't as hard as you think to produce your own show

We often hear people say "I'd love to try podcasting, but it's far too hard".  But that isn't true, there are some tips and tricks we can show you that are easy, affordable.  Using the technology tools we suggest, you can be up and running in a very short time. And we don't mean expensive technology. You could get started for under $300.  Some of the things you need are a subscription to a podcasting platform, artwork, recording platform and a microphone or headset.

We have been producing our podcasts for over two years.  We are helping women entrepreneurs to learn different business and life tools.  If you would like to sample some of the podcasts, check them out here.
