My Hero Academia is a Japanese manga turned anime. Written and illustrated by Kōhei Horikoshi, My Hero Academia was adapted into an anime television series by Bones. Superheroes have become popular over the last two decades representing modern-day mythology with stories being told and retold. My Hero Academia is one such story, which has been influenced by Western comics storytelling yet with a flavor all its own.

The story of Hero Academia follows a young boy named Izuku Midoriya. The poor boy born without superpowers in a world where they have become common has to struggle a lot to survive in the world and also has to surpass the expectations of his predecessor and mentor. All Might, Japan’s greatest hero, helps Midoriya to enroll him in a prestigious high school for heroes in training. So, the series keeps revolving around Midoriya and how he manages to become a hero without being born with superpowers (known as Quirks). Hero Academia is not only popular in Japan but also in other parts of the world, where it has been released as an English dub.

All the Seasons and Upcoming Releases

So far, four seasons have been released for the series. The very first season of My Hero Academia aired in Japan in April 2016, followed by a second season in April 2017, then the third season in April 2018, and the fourth one in October 2019. All four seasons of the fantastic anime have received high ratings and viewership. After watching the amazing fourth season of the anime series, fans started asking for the fifth season as well.

The good news is, the official website of the anime recently confirmed that there will be a fifth season of the series, and the production has already started. This must have been an exciting piece of news for all the series’ derelict fans who have been waiting for the new episodes. Although everyone is still waiting for an official release date, however, according to all the talks that have been happening, we can gather that season 5 will be premiered by early 2021 in Japan and then in the USA. So, till the time everyone is waiting for the new episodes, let’s see what will be the plot of season 5.

The Cast of My Hero Academia Season 5

All the characters from the previous season of My Hero Academia are supposedly coming back for season 5 as well. These include Izuku Midoriya, Katsuki Bakugou, Ochako Uraraka, Shigaraki Tomura, Momo Yaoyorozu, Shouto Todoroki, and others. The plot of My Hero Academia Season 5

My Hero Academia season 4 ended with the matter of Deku’s dream, which was played in a post-credits scene. The viewers have been trying to contemplate as to what the dream was about. Besides the true message behind the dream (which fans can only imagine until the new season comes out), season 5 of My Hero Academia might also be going deep into the history of One For All ( Nature of All Might’s Quirk).

In a mind-boggling battle with Nomu, Japan’s new No. 1 hero Endeavor wins, kick-starting his journey. Even though Endeavor has his broken past, his feelings might get a good amount of attention in season 5. All the citizens, heroes, and villains of the My Hero Academia universe want to know what their community will look like after All Might’s retirement. And so do all the viewers of the show. Apart from this, Season 5 might also encounter better relationships among Shoto Todoroki and the rest of his family.

Following its tradition, the show might introduce its heroes to a new type of training in the upcoming season, where they have to push their limits to be the best. We are surely excited to watch what unfolds in season 5 of Hero Academia and hope that you are too.
