Making your health and wellness a priority, in the new year, has never been so important, and includes physical, mental, and emotional health, to rise above any obstacles that may come our way.

Assuring that women are aware of their options and resources regarding their pelvic health, fertility and pregnancy, aging, mental health, and other women’s health topics can ensure a healthy start for the new year and beyond.

Due to a drop in birth rates during the pandemic, researchers predict what they call a "Millie Baby Boom" in the new year. Couples ready to have a baby should evaluate lifestyle habits that may interfere with their ability to conceive and make changes accordingly.

Mental Health

Our mental health affects so many areas in our well being. For women raising a family and working this has been and is particularly challenging.

A recent study indicates that the COVID-19 pandemic has caused a surge in anxiety and depression, particularly among women, as enforced lockdowns resulted in increased family responsibilities, household work, and possibly the risk of domestic violence.

Engaging in physical activity improves mental and emotional well-being. Women experiencing depression may also consider speaking with licensed professionals for information and support. Margaret Wallis-Duffy, certified RMT and owner of Wallis for Wellness wrote a great article with tips like deep breathing, massage therapy, and more to empower people to promote better mental health.

Pelvic Health

We exercise to feel better and strengthen our overall body, but often women are too embarrassed to talk about pelvic health issues thinking they are the only ones suffering from pelvic pain. The truth is that it is more common than they think.

Pelvic Health is the management of the bladder, bowel, and reproductive organs. It is not merely the absence of disease or weakness in these organs. Pelvic health plays an important role in complete physical, mental, social, and sexual well-being.

Kim Vopni, The Vagina Coach says It's time to break through taboos and redefine how we think about women’s health. It's time for pelvic health to be discussed and offered to all vagina owners!

You deserve knowledge about what the pelvic floor is, why it is important to your overall health and what you can do about nagging symptoms like leaking, prolapse and chronic back pain. That is why Kim created her new app The Buff Muff App.
